Deswik Software is a group of professional mining engineers and software developers who have a passion for developing innovative software solutions for the minerals industry. Deswik personnel thrive on a challenge. The combination of applying practical knowledge and software development is our chosen mechanism to solve problems faced by our clients.

Deswik Software has been developing software solutions for the mining industry since 2008, while the directors and founding members have a proven history of developing internationally successful mine planning applications for over 15 years.

Our team of software engineers, testers and documentation experts have skills in developing and supporting generic or customised applications for the minerals industry. The development team includes a number of trained minerals professionals who bring multi-disciplinary skills to the company. Utilising the skills of specialists in the areas of algorithm development, spatial graphics and LP/MILP/Genetic optimisation, Deswik Software has the capability to develop cutting edge software utilising the latest development technologies.

Company Directors

Adam White - Managing Director (BE Mining Hons, Dip BA, MAusIMM)

For over 15 years Adam White has been bridging the gaps between systems and outcomes, practical operations and technical consulting, and mine planning and software. A qualified Mining Engineer who studied at The University of Queensland, Adam has worked locally and internationally in open cut and underground mining, hard rock and coal, and counts many of the world’s major mining houses as his clients.

Adam has used his mining engineering perspective to analyse gaps in processes and systems, and develop software based solutions targeted at resolving specific issues and inefficiencies. Over a period of 10 years with ACMS (now GijimaAST) he played a key role in the development of Mine2-4D software for underground planning, completing his tenure there as the Global Applications Manager.

Wayne Romer – Director (BE Mining Hons, MAusIMM)

Wayne is a mining engineer and entrepreneur who brings a career spent developing mine planning packages to the company. Recognised by his peers as building innovative and practical mining software, Wayne is applying his knowledge of software development and mining engineering to solving problems faced by the industry.
